This concept of an ashtray is enchained with an affect cigarettes/smoking do on people's health. The idea is to transfer a notion of smoking dangers onto the object that will suggest drawing parallels.
An ashtray is a proportional copy of a bullet sleeve (caliber - 7,62 mm). An ashtray filled with ashes is a symbol of a bullet filled with gunpowder. Bullet kills, so does smoking - a harsh warning is engraved on the top of the ashtray. The concrete part of the object could be fixed on the surface, while steel ashes container could be easily cleaned out.
